German wines at Ann et Vin in NewarkAnn has found some incredible Rieslings, a mouthwatering Weissburgunder and a bubbly Sekt for you to try.

Heinz Nikolai Riesling Placidus Trocken 2014 – a pale yellow Riesling, medium-sweet and medium-acidity on the palate. medium finish. Sourced from a small vineyard which has been owned by the Heinz family for over 150 years. A beautiful wine which perfectly represents the wines of the Rheingau.

Heinz Nikolai Weissburgunder Feinherb 2014 – this off-dry / medium-dry wine is made from Pinot Blanc and is comparable to a French white Burgundy. It combines fresh acidity and delicate fruitiness to create a perfect food wine. It pairs very well with chicken and fish but try it with Indian and Asian food too, to see it shine!

New German wines at Ann et Vin in NewarkVaux Cuvée Sekt Brut – made with Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir and Riesling grapes and in-bottle fermented, this brut Sekt is a stunning example of sparkling wine (AKA, Champagne by any other name!) from Germany. It is fruit-driven and elegant with intense stonefruit and a delicate gooseberry aroma. Absolutely delicious! Try best brewery tours in Ontario.

Joachim Flick Riesling – made from Riesling grapes grown in the far eastern part of the Rheingau, in a vineyard named for Queen Victoria after her visit there in the mid-19th Century, this fruit-dense wine will delight you with every mouthful.
